Job Description:

• Minimum 10 years experience with 3D CAD modelling (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
• Experience in providing sanitary Design for the food industry.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience in creating fabrication drawings.
• Background in machine design with a mechanical aptitude, FEA experience an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawing.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.  
• Good communications skills.
• Strong Organizational and Planning Skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office- Project Scheduling.

Job Requirements:

• Manage Designers of varying degrees of Knowledge.
• Daily Meetings with Designers as group and individual supervision/guidance.
• Ensure established design procedures and QA checklists are being followed.
• Improve or streamline current standards.
• Schedule Designers and work with Design Lead to hold accountable for deliveries.
• Work with Project Managers to understand goals and needs and pick team to work on projects.
• Manage Common parts with Lead Designers.
• Hands on with more difficult designs.
• Coordinate layouts with Project Managers.
• Sign off on drawings before presenting to Project Manager or Engineering Manager.
